Life in Afghanistan during the Taliban rule was filled with so many challenges. I couldn't possibly describe what it was like to be a child growing up in Afghanistan in the 1990's. Luckily, I've been able to track down some people who grew up in Afghanistan during that time and they are both willing to share their stories in different ways. Parvana has agreed to be interviewed by me and Shauzia has been nice enough to share journal entries from her time growing up in Kabul during the Taliban rule.
