The Afghan people live by a code of conduct called Pashtunwali. It originated with the Pashtun people who live in southeastern Afghanistan, but was adopted by all Afghan people. Self pride and family honor take precedence over all else. The seriousness with which they play sports & games, the respectful way they dress & the careful way they prepare their food are all examples of how the Afghan people show pride in themselves & their country.
